I strongly believe your evening skincare is the most important step in having healthy and clear skin. When you find a routine that works for you and you stick to it, the time (and money) you invest in it really pays off.
Step 1: The first thing I do is remove my makeup with the Philosophy purity made simple mineral cleansing oil. I’ve always had normal to dry skin, so I love oil cleansers because they clean your skin without making it even drier.
Step 2: Toners can be a tricky topic when it comes to dry skin. In the wintertime when my skin is at its driest I usually skip this step. But during summer my skin responds pretty well to it. Nivea refreshing tonic leaves my skin feeling refreshed and soothed. It also removes stubborn last traces of make-up, which is always a plus.
Step 3: If you’ve been reading my blog for a long time, back in the days when I still was a beauty blogger, you probably know I love the Philosophy renewed hope in a jar night cream. I’m on my fourth jar and will still buy it when this one runs out. I tried using other night creams but they just didn’t come close to Philosophy hope in a jar. It’s a very thick and hydrating cream that will leave you with glowing, hydrated skin in the morning.
Step 4: The last step before going to bed is applying eye cream. I may only be 24 years old, but it’s never too soon to start preventing wrinkles. The Eucerin Aquaporin active eye cream is my favorite because it’s not extremely focused on anti-aging, but just helps with keeping the sensitive skin around your eyes hydrated. The cooling applicator feels soothing on the skin, which is nice after a long day.
