The Louis Vuitton Speedy bag was my first designer love and will stay in my heart forever. The bag has been around since the early 1930s and has become a real classic that gets revamped every couple of years. Louis Vuitton bags can be hard to style though, they come off preppy or tacky really quick when they are paired with certain outfits.
I got my Louis Vuitton Speedy a couple of years ago, when I was 18 years old. Seven years later my style has changed a lot. A Louis Vuitton bag probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you look at my minimal outfits. But I want to make it work. The main thing I want to avoid is looking overly preppy. So no button down shirts, pumps, riding boots or blazers. Instead I opted for dark ripped jeans, snakeskin boots and a casual long coat.
I wore this outfit for a shopping day in Ghent. It was black Friday weekend so naturally I had to do some shopping. I ended up buying a new lens for my camera, a 35mm F/1.8 lens. We immediately used it to shoot the pictures for this outfit post. What do you think? I also got new boots at the black Friday sale at Schoenen Torfs. You can still buy them with the discount on cyber Monday. Check out my pink boots on Instagram, or you can find the four other colors here.
